I’ve been meaning to write this post for ages. But I keep being waylaid. I mean, there’s a lot of reasons I’ve been away a while. There’s a lot going on in the world right now. There’s been a lot going on about returning into the world, a lot of work (doing/thinking/writing) going on, and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what I’m doing here online and blah blah blah. Lets just use the euphemism of horses. One way or another, we’ve all been busy drawing horses or thinking about horses, falling in love with horses, getting frustrated by horses and so on. That’s life.
Anyway, I’m getting my blog writing hat back on, to let you know that I’m super excited to be Writer in Residence at SunUp 2023 Festival this year. And the festival starts this Sunday.
During my residency, I’m going to be spending time playing out, responding to the excitements of the moment and doing some exploratory writing for a new play - working title, ‘If You’re Looking for Meat, You May Not See The Living’. I’m going to be sharing some of the ideas &/or words that I create during the festival finale on the 9th of July. But there’s going to be loads of stuff happening before then. During the festival I’m going to be hosting writing spaces. Spaces to write in solidarity with others, spaces to try writing if you never have but would like to, spaces to share work without comment or critique. I’m going to be putting dates and more info up all about these spaces in the coming days. So, keep your eyes peeled for more on all of that soon.
In the meantime, lets get back to some horses.
